Duties

Serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Indo-Pacific Civilian Services HR Directorate. Provide management advisory services to complex organizations. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Counsel subordinates, develops performance standards, and rates staff. Provide advisory services on management-employee relations actions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Employee RelationsManaging Human ResourcesOral CommunicationPerformance ManagementPersonnel and Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
