About the Position: Serves as Deputy G1 for all facets of civilian and military personnel management within the command.
Duties
Serves as command technical authority on civilian and military personnel management programs.
Provides staff level advisory services to all levels within the command.
Provides authoritative interpretation and instructions on laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, and develops command policies and procedural guidance.
Conducts studies and analyses of HR-related functional areas in order to identify trends, potential problems, and to prepare recommendations that support the strategic and functional HR goals of the command.
Performs supervisory duties to include hiring, performance management, technical training and managing section budget.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
