The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is seeking a senior Grants Financial Analyst to participate and provide expertise in the financial management of the Institute's extramural grant programs.
This position is located in the Office of Financial Management (OFM), Office of Administrative Management (OAM), National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Duties
Monitor and track grant programs, particularly those more complex in nature, and assesses future budget needs.
Develop various scenario analyses for presentation on budget requests and makes recommendations based on knowledge of research programs and funding mechanism.
Manage complex budget programs and takes a leadership role among colleagues.
Provides expert analytical services, staff advice, and assistance to managers and administrators concerning all phases of budget formulation, presentation and. execution.
Provides input in the maintenance and improvement of established financial reporting systems and performs a variety of status reports utilizing databases, spreadsheets, and other financial reporting tools.
Draft analyses which examine the budgetary impact of existing, new or revised policies and procedures, and determines program requirements.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: analyzing and evaluating changes in program plans, objectives and funding and their effect on financial and budget program milestones; developing reports, presentations, or briefing materials on financial management, particularly as it relates to grants; reviewing budget justifications and developing comprehensive tabular or "figure" portions of budget documents, exhibits, and other supporting documentation; and assisting with efforts to improve or develop financial management systems and related policies, goals and objectives.
