As a Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-13, you will be part of Retirement Services, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and providing guidance on a variety of Retirement Services' modernization programs in order to improve the technical posture and manage maintenance workloads.
Duties
Collaborate with internal and external customers at multiple levels to analyze current work processes, provide guidance on process improvements and resolve problems.
Contribute as part of team to review current business processes, translate project requirements to improve upon a process or system enhancement.
Review and interpret proposed laws, executive orders, internal and external regulations related to the program to determine the impact on processes and systems.
Participate in user acceptance testing of retirement systems, produce documentation or findings and determine whether the business should accept or reject the change.
Qualifications
For the GS 13: You must possess at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level or payband in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) which must include:
1) Evaluating existing processes or workflows, identifying areas of improvement and presenting or justifying the recommendations;
2) Analyzing or preparing business requirements and translating them into system enhancements;
3) Collaborating on a project team related to system or process changes;
4) Working with various personnel benefits such as annuity, health insurance, transit, and others.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.
