About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville.
Duties
Facilitate student training for the Aviation Learning Center for multiple Army airframes in the following topics: Advanced aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, radio navigation, air traffic control and etc.
Evaluate course content to confirm adherence to applicable regulations and procedures.
Coach the training team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques.
Observe and counsel on the progress of students.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Train aviation students in a wide range of subjects, including advanced aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments, regulations, air traffic control, etc. 2) Review and revise curriculum for all flight training courses. 3) Partake in overall analysis of training effectiveness. 4) Assist with training new team members/instructors. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)
