Duties
This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Police for
Protective and Intelligence Operations, Security Services Bureau (SSB).
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.For the CP-10 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized
experience equivalent to at least the CP-9/GS-11 level which is in or
directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has
equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to
successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is
defined as experience which includes: 1) Extensive knowledge of a broad range
of general security programs and policy requirements; 2) Knowledge of
programming and installation of various types of security systems including
controlled access systems, closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera system and monitors,
metals detectors, etc; and 3) Experience reviewing, analyzing and assessing a
variety of factors associated with protective operations.For the CP-11 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized
experience equivalent to at least the CP-10/GS-12 level which is in or
directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has
equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to
successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is
defined as experience which includes: 1) Expert knowledge of a broad range of
general security programs and policy requirements to function as a technical
authority; 2) Knowledge of procedures and regulations related to principles for
designing physical security systems and practices related to diverse security
programs; and 3) Ability to interpret security policies issuances for
applications in a variety of environments and locations within protected
