About the Position: as Operations Support Specialist located at Headquarters, FORSCOM, Fort Liberty, NC. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain.

Duties

Performs general management and personnel functions. Submits finalized officer and enlisted status reports to DCSPIM for requisitioning purposes. Knowledge of the personnel field enables incumbent to make recommendations or offer alternative solutions. Coordinates matters with FORSCOM G-1 and the Fort Liberty Military Personnel Activity on military personnel such as gains, losses, duty assignments, evaluations, special authorizations, etc. Manages the production of rosters for various purposes, i.e., HQ FORSCOM Staff Directory, Marshall Hall and FOC security rosters, senior-level social roster for CG, emergency notification rosters, and special requirements rosters. Proponent for numerous administrative rosters, and G6 assignment memorandums.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Incumbent Must sign DA Form 5019 and pass drug testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes ;administrative and management concepts, policies, and practices and program goals; 2). Experience in organization planning, manpower management, operations management, and briefings to senior leadership; 3). Experience in managing internal realignments, personnel reductions, shifting of workloads, and use of personnel to include analyzing, reviewing, recommending and implementing Table Distribution Allowance (TDA) changes; 4). Works as a Liaison with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) on civilian personnel matters to include recruitment, reassignments, Management Directed Assignments (MDR), and Promotions; AND, 5). Experience in working with high ranking military, civilian officials and/or local officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationOrganizational AwarenessTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
