About the Position: This IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Security) position is located at US Army Operational Test Command, G6 Cybersecurity Division with duty location of Fort Cavazos, TX.
This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
Duties
Serves as one of the Information Systems Security Managers (ISSM) for the US Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC).
As USAOTC’s primary action officer for information security, the incumbent develops, promulgates, and monitors compliance with
policies, methods and procedures pertaining to the Cybersecurity Program for Automated Information Systems (AIS). ).
Assignments are executed based primarily on knowledge of advanced technical capabilities for information systems, computing
and processing techniques, and current and future technology trends.
Work is complex in nature and involves comprehension of multiple factors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Must obtain and maintain Information Assurance (IA) certification and computing environment, certifications per Army policy and DoD directive.
- Incumbent may spend up to 25% of the time in travel or TDY status.
- This position description is designated for a “mission-critical emergency employee” for Continuity of Government Operations (coop); meaning that this
- incumbent will be required to report for Conus related duty during an emergency at an offsite location.
