This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As a Budget Analyst, you will be an analyst for the preparation, consolidation, and execution of budget materials for multiple power systems.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
To qualify at the GS-11:
Applicants must have either Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related -OR
Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience working on a team responsible for the budgeting or accounting of an organization. (Examples of specialized experience include: performing budget or accounting activities in accordance with established policies and procedures).- AND
Experience entering, analyzing, and reporting on budget and/or financial activities. Experience should reflect using financial systems to query and capture data.- AND
A combination of education and experience as detailed on the Office of Personnel Management website linked here.
To qualify at the GS-12:
Applicants must have specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is defined as:
Experience in the formulation, development, review, coordination, and editing of budgets (which could include preparing budget estimates, writing justifications and impacts, tracking obligations, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating budget execution, and preparing forecasts).- AND
Experience identifying and recommending corrective actions for programmatic funding issues in an organization to management and stakeholders.

Education
To qualify on education you must have: Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education.
