The Budget & Analysis Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing budgetary processes within the Western Area Power Administration. This position requires a deep understanding of financial management principles, federal budget regulations, and the ability to analyze complex financial data. The Budget & Analysis Manager collaborates with various stakeholders to develop, execute, and monitor budgets to ensure compliance with agency goals and objectives. This is not a remote position.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Financial Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in conducting financial analyses, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and financial risk assessment. Skilled in preparing accurate and comprehensive financial reports for decision-makers, highlighting key financial trends and insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, such as program managers, finance personnel, auditors, and agency leadership. Demonstrated experience in facilitating finance-related discussions, resolving conflicts, and fostering a cohesive environment. Finance Software and Tools: Familiarity with financial software and financial management tools such as Excel, SAP, Oracle, or other similar systems. Experience in leveraging these tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
