About the Position: US Army Cadet Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G8, Accounting Division, Fort Knox, KY

Duties

Analyze changes being made to each scholarship cadet on a continuing basis. Analyze personnel data being used for all cadets. Ensure all certifications of tuition reimbursement are made based on substantiating documents from each college/university. Work with Senior Systems Analyst to identify requirements of system generated reports. Review all individual payments for proper reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • TDY business travel is 10% of the time.
  • 1 year probationary period may be required.
  • The incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain Financial Management Certification Level 2 (FMC-02).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial Management AnalysisOrganizational AwarenessWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if you meet the education requirements listed below:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related (Transcripts MUST be attached).
