This position is in Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM), Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation, Assessment and Remediation Division, Community Involvement and Program Initiatives Branch. Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as demonstrating strong working knowledge of the Superfund laws, regulations and programmatic policies that guide program implementation. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Ability to establish goals and assess progress toward their achievement. Ability to develop and complete projects, and deliver results on schedule. Ability to formulate and present arguments and advisory opinions, elicit cooperative and constructive responses from internal and external stake holders. Ability to think strategically in order to provide guidance and support to many audiences. Knowledge of law regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the administration of the Superfund program. Skill in written communication. Skill in oral communication. Ability to clearly and accurately communicate technical information to a variety of audiences. Ability to analyze and assess issues and develop approaches and plans to address those issues. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
