You will serve as a LEAD IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK SERVICES) of HDQTRS NDW. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12345611-24-ECJ. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Duties

You will be responsible for the planning, programming, funding, development, acquisition and installation/maintenance of NDWs region network infrastructure. You will serve as the Senior Network technical expert supporting, advising, managing a region wide system consisted of both legacy and LMR enterprise network. You will serve as a technical expert, authority, and advisor concerning Region-wide development, implementation, modification, and management of existing and future system requirements. You will lead a team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/ or occupational priorities. You will serve as a subject matter expert on various OS for an on prem cloud computing using VMware platform and hyperconvergence technologies.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 0441 level intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as the subject matter expert on administration/design for an enterprise enclave for various legacy systems to include LMR across the NCR; 2) Serving as project manager/team leader in efforts to fully utilize existing support systems, evaluate needs, and activate automation improvements and enhancements, and for information system planning and implementation studies; 3) Responsible for the planning, programming, funding, development, acquisition and installation/maintenance of NDW's 3SP/LMR infrastructure; and 4) Managing and ensuring Risk Management Framework (RMF) and security compliance to all policies and directives associated to lifecycle management. Information Technology Configuration Management - Plan, implement, track and/or evaluate configuration/requirement changes across the enterprise and organization.
