You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Research and Development Group, Battlespace Engrg Anly Sim and Test Dept, Mission Implementation Div, Mission Enviro Br of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will coordinate, facilitate and ensure the performance of security controls in accordance with lab security plans and NAWCWD policies.
You will communicate and collaborate with team members and customers on risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems, lab requirements and tasking.
You will monitor and evaluate the implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity measures verifying they are followed and recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
You will Participate in the documentation of network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which equivalent to the DS-01 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Coordinating, documenting, facilitating, and ensuring the resolution of customer hardware and software issues; 2) Communicating and collaborating with team members and customers; 3) Ensuring records are collected, reviewed, and documented; 4) Providing training on resolution hardware and software issues; 5) Demonstrating advanced customer service skills.
