You will serve as a FINANCIAL SPECIALIST of NAVAL STA NT RI.
Duties
You will assist in preparing briefs for senior level officials on the fiscal status of operations and financial impact on program changes.
You will provide assistance to management and staff on interpretation of both APF and NAF financial reports, quarterly execution reports, OP-34s, and monthly financial statements budget to actual comparison.
You will assist in the performance and reconciliation of the yearly appropriated and non-appropriated fund fixed asset inventory.
You will act as first point of contact for employee personnel and/or payroll discrepancies.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Building NAF budgets; 2) reviewing and analyzing financial performance of a variety of programs; 3) overseeing business support office functions (accounting, procurement, records management, etc.) in support of service delivery programs; and 4) developing recommendations, creating and delivering briefings based on financial performance and business requirements.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR
Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
OR
Have a combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of education plus percentage of experience must equal 100%.
