This position is located in the Division of Finance (DOF), Controller of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and will assist with various aspects of maintaining, enhancing, and operating New Financial Environment (NFE) PeopleSoft and other DOF systems.

Duties
Assisting in the implementation of configuration, data and/or functional changes in order to correctly reflect legislative, regulatory, or operational requirements.
Reviewing and validating security configuration changes to support NFE releases and deployments.
Supporting testing initiatives for upgrades, external and internal software releases, Division of Information Technology (DIT) mandated testing, disaster recovery, contingency planning, and other initiatives as needed.
Participating in special projects initiated by the Section to improve processes, increase efficiency, improve system performance and provide better service to the business areas supported by the NFE System.
Preparing end-user training materials using automated tools. Supporting and assisting with providing functional and technical systems training to DOF and other divisions' employees.
Performing reconciliation processes to ensure that data files and reports are accurate. Creating new reports or revision existing reports to support reconciliations, respond to system inquiries and findings, and provide control and statistical information for management.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-09 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as assisting in maintaining New Financial Environment (NFE) systems and security configuration changes; gathering information to develop maintenance procedures, training materials; and assisting with providing technical guidance to end-user organizations; OR
EDUCATION: Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR
A COMBINATION of EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have completed graduate level education as described above beyond the 2nd full year of graduate education, and specialized experience as described above, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.
