About the Position: This position serves as an Executive Officer for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Provides executive level advice and assistance to command channels on a variety of administrative policy matters and subjects.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical duties plans work to be accomplished, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Prepares, coordinates, authenticates, reviews, and distributes written operation orders, standard operating procedures, policy, and analyzes personnel, resourcing, and contracting metrics.
Ensures communications and understanding of deadlines, assignments, and objectives. Interprets regulations, policy, higher plans and doctrine.
Develops products/briefs to support the Executive Director; Integrates and synchronizes operations, oversight of training, taskings and plans.
Develops policies, plans, and procedures that impact the three-star Command overall resourcing, support, and integration functions; Identifies needs and requirements; develops strategies and policy responses; staffs and coordinates these actions.
Develops plans, policies, procedures, instructions, guidance for the command-wide implementation.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- May require temporary duty travel up to 15% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising senior officials on administrative and management matters regarding policies, procedures and regulations; managing the coordination and execution of highly complex staff actions; maintaining visibility of all functions assigned to office of the Executive Director, including contracting operations; and maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial audit standards. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
