Duties

You will perform Human Capital duties for civilian personnel programs to including but not limited to hiring actions, awards, onboarding, telework, training, organization charts, billet management, policies. You will be responsible for understanding and actively supporting the Commands Affirmative action EEO program, ensuring EEO principles are reflected in all aspects of personnel management. You will work closely with the Corporate Operations Director to establish and maintain a more robust Command Awards Program, Onboarding and Offboarding Program, DoN/DoD Mandatory training in TWMS/WayPoints. You will analyze training and educational programs offered within DoN, other DoD components and outside the Department of Defense to determine their applicability and utility for incorporation into Navy IPO programs. You will develop briefs/required documents for senior managers to review and sign and provide recommendations to correct identified program variances or problem areas.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to meet Time in Grade requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with procedures requirements regulations and policies related to specialized experience in the work of the unit including the ability to maintain credibility with others in technical matters. Experience with Microsoft applications including SharePoint. Knowledge of DoD Regulations, policies, procedures, standards for workflow, administrative actions, as well as a high degree of oral and written communication techniques. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
