This position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Safety and Technical Training, Policy and Performance Directorate, Safety Management Group (AJI-3100). This Group is responsible for developing an integrated safety policy; coordinating Safety Management training for the Air Traffic Organization (ATO); and, for monitoring the safety performance of National Airspace System (NAS) changes while facilitating the Safety Risk Management (SRM) process.
Duties
This position is a Management and Program Analyst responsible for applying experience and expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate aviation industry Safety Management Systems (SMS) and to revise and modify complex Safety and Technical Training SMS policy, guidance and training to support the safety of the National Airspace System (NAS). This work directly effects the Safety and Technical Training Service Unit, the ATO, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
