You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (NETWORK/ENTARCH) in the within NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

Duties

You will serve as the technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Enterprise Network Engineering and Unified Communications projects and initiatives for the organization. You will serve as the SME for designing network and communications services, recommending devices and services, and evaluating vendor recommendations. You will assess the enterprise network environment to determine gaps between the current and target architecture and develop plans and projects for transitioning to target architecture. You will ensure technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, technical reviews, and change assessments. You will manage Information Systems projects throughout the system’s lifecycle. You will perform other duties as assigned.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 651 Enterprise Architect, Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1.) Developing deployment plans, schedules, and technical integration packages for LAN/WAN network services including design engineering standardized packages for datacenters, regions, edge services, remote sites, and enclave environments; 2.) Providing enterprise, network architecture guidance, support; 3.) Coordinating IT project teams and ensuring solutions are properly documented and maintained in the IT repository throughout their lifecycle; 4.) Establishing the requirements and resources required to complete IT projects; 5.) Working with stakeholders to define project scope, identify system requirements, and develop appropriate products to address requirements requests. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
