About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, Richland, South Carolina. This is a permanent position with Army Clinic Moncrief. Moncrief Army Health Clinic is located on Fort Jackson, South Carolina and is part of the 82 square mile military installation located adjacent to the state capital of Columbia.

Duties

Manage and maintain medical surgical prime vendor contract as well as standing order contracts. Serve as liaison between prime vendor representative, hospital, customers, and Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP). Process receiving reports to DSCP to initiate obligation of funds. Prepare and/or code and classify requisitions, shipping and receiving documents and many other documents, using a knowledge of the controls, deviations, programs, capabilities, and limitations of the automatic data processing system.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series and are subject to required/missing immunizations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated systems to track and order non-medical and medical supplies, restocking supply rooms as needed, and picking up supply orders from various locations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Organizational AwarenessSupply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
