This position is located in the G8 Office, Office of the Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Serve as Deputy G-8 responsible for stewardship and management direction for resource management programs for Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE) and Fort Leonard Wood.
Plan and direct financial and resource management programs in coordination with activities and operating elements with the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence.
Establish financial and resource management policies.
Advise the Commanding General and MSCoE leaders on financial programs, budget programming, managerial accounting and fiscal policy, manpower and equipment and program and evaluation functions for MSCoE.
Responsible for management of the Comptroller (CP11) and Manpower (CP26) civilian career programs for MSCoE.
Plan, assign and manage work of G-8 staff; performing personnel management functions.
Requirements
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position IAW National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing and analyzing installation level budget programs that includes financial management, budget services, manpower/management analysis, and program management; directing work of others; advising and briefing high level commands on resource management functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13 or above]).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
