About the Position: Redstone Arsenal base is within easy traveling distance to many major cities such as Nashville in Tennessee, Atlanta in Georgia, Birmingham and Mobile in Alabama, and Florida beaches. These locations offer multiple attractions and activities for singles and families.
Duties
Analyze, evaluate, and document manpower requirements submitted to develop program budget guidance (PBG) audit trails; documents required and authorized manpower and equipment Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA).
Employ knowledge of manpower management and equipment authorization procedures to analyze, evaluate, process, and submit request for out-of-cycle documentation.
Develop manpower program and budget at established HQDA Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBES) level of detail for inclusion in the Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Command Operating Budget (COB), and Command Plan.
Present the Command’s position in the form of briefings, reports, and information papers on matters of substance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11) One year of specialized experience which include experience 1) managing Table of Distribution and Allowance (TDA) for the organization;2) accomplishing TDA reviews to determine compliance with staffing policies,
economy of staffing and other provisions of the manpower program; 3) collecting and presenting statistics on manpower for the organization and 4) determining whether requests are justifiable and consistent with existing directives.
