About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Emergency Services office located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Duties
Participate in investigations into violations of environmental and fish and game laws.
Ensure physical security measures are in effect in remote areas of the installation for the protection of Government property.
Enforce the jurisdictional limits of restricted areas of both water and land boundaries.
Supervise subordinate civilian and military police personnel.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- Meet and maintain requirements of Individual Reliability Program (IRP) IAW AR 190-56.
- Pass annual physical agility test requirements.
- Be certified to use police weapons, equipment, cameras, crime scene evidence collecting equipment, and automated police information retrieval systems.
- Be able to wear chemical protection masks, gloves, and other associated equipment.
- Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment.
- Successfully graduate from DA Police Academy or have received equivalent academic credit.
- Be qualified and certified in the use of all assigned weapons and police related equipment which may include chemical aerosol irritants and LESD.
- State certification, if required, for radar and breathalyzer operations.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Rotating shifts.
