You will serve as a FUNCTIONAL PLANS & POLICY SPECIALIST in the HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND
Duties
You will have extensive and expert knowledge of strategy, doctrine, policy, plans, processes, and networks, relevant to HD, DSCA, P/ID, and HA/DR
You will be planning continuum to include JOPES system and JOPP process, Joint Operating Concepts (JOCs), and Joint Capabilities Areas (JCAs).
You will need experience with deliberate, contingency and crisis action planning at the component and combatant command level.
You will need skill in researching developing and coordinating related strategy, plans, programs, requirements, assessments, operations directives and presentations.
You will perform analysis of issues, prepare written reports, and provide oral briefings to higher level management.
You will demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft office and information management software (i.e. to build, track plans, documents, presentations, and data matrices).

Qualifications
GS-13 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
1) Leading and supporting planning for changes or complete rewrites of Homeland Defense (HD), Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), Pandemics and infectious Diseases (P&ID), and Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster Relief (HA/DR) plans, as required;
2) Conducting reviews of other Combatant Command's, Service Components, Sub-unified Commands, and Joint lnter-Agency Task Force West's deliberate and crisis action plans for adequacy, feasibility, suitability, and compliance with national directives;
3) Leading Joint Planning Groups with subject matter experts to produce high-level briefings given to four-star officers and SES level officials, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of Defense; and
4) Initiating preparation of timely reports, providing analysis on immediate or long-term subjects as self-generated or required.
GS-12 Level:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as:
1) Researching, developing and coordinating related strategy, plans, programs, requirements, assessments, operations directives and presentations;
2) Performing analysis of issues preparing written reports and provide oral briefings to higher level management; and
3) Demonstrating computer skills in Microsoft office and information management software.
