This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-08, with a target grade of GS-09.
The minimum salary for grade GS-08 is $56,607, the maximum salary is $73,587. The minimum salary for grade GS-09 is $62,522, the maximum salary is $81,278.
Duties
Compiles and evaluates information gathered, uses sound judgment and makes conclusions based on facts in comparison to the program requirements.
Develops and recommends courses of action for the organization on a wide variety of taskings involving the administrative and/or management support mission of the Site.
Prepares recommendations to include supporting justification and presents briefings to senior management to explain conclusions and recommendations.
Studies organizational requirements and works with management to identify human capital/organizational needs and recommends solutions to identified problems.
Manages all aspects of assigned programs/initiatives including planning, design, development, administration, evaluation and documentation.
Duties described above reflect the full performance level (GS-9). Duties assigned to an entry grade of GS-08 will be developmental in nature.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen or National.
- Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959).
- Suitable for Federal employment.
- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Qualifications
For the GS-08 level, Specialized Experience is defined as: performing numerous administrative and support functions in a group environment by gathering, consolidating, and analyzing various types of information needed to assist office and management personnel; advising others on regulations and instructions, answering questions and remedying standard problems referred by organization officers or operating officials.
For the GS-09 level, Specialized Experience is defined as: researching information and data to prepare forms, reports and other related communications; experience with a variety of office automation software to produce correspondence, narrative and statistical reports, spreadsheets, graphs and presentation materials; and assisting in the analysis of program or project data.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
Substitution Of Education For GS-8 Specialized Experience: Eighteen months of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
Substitution Of Education For GS-9 Specialized Experience: A Master's or equivalent graduate level degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education (or will have completed within 9 months of job post closing) leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirement.
