The ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge, skills, and experience working with financial and/or accounting systems and utilizing statistical methods analyzing large volumes of data. Knowledge of current Federal policies and laws governing budget and finance management, and expertise in Structured Query Language (SQL), Data Analysis Expressions (DAX). Python, Visual Basic, Tableau, and MS Office (Power BI, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is additionally optimal.

What will I do in this position if hired?
In this Lead Financial Systems Analyst position, you will serve as financial systems expert and lead a team performing specialized financial analysis to monitor financial activities and produce complex financial reports. Duties include, but are not limited to:

To qualify for this Lead Financial Systems Analyst position at the IC-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Applying analytical techniques to summarize analysis results in briefings or reports for non-technical audiences.
Translating management and budget data into informational products and data visualizations by designing and creating data dashboards and/or other tools utilizing visual analytics software platforms (e.g., Tableau and/or Power BI).
Researching and collecting data as well as cleaning, manipulating, and structuring data across many systems, utilizing languages such as SQL, R, and/or Python.
