About the Position: Fort Liberty known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. Fayetteville Regional Airport is located 12 miles outside of Fort Liberty's gates and Raleigh-Durham International Airport is 70 miles away.

Duties

Manage daily Intelligence, Electronic Warfare (IEW) program operations and program review, analysis, advice, and coordination HQDA Staff, FORSCOM leadership and Force Integration staff. Develop comprehensive force management equipping and modernization recommending communication of modernization/equipping program information to support Army capabilities development. Prepare a comprehensive analysis of problems and difficulties in implementing equipping/modernization changes. Develop data, briefings, and presentation information regarding IEW Program requirements relative to functional capabilities, and integration requirements. Analyze equipment changes, systems integration, and changes to ensure all modernization efforts are validated by FORSCOM mission requirements.

  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Incumbent may be require working nights, weekends, holidays and/or irregular duty hours commensurate with mission requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes;1. ensure the processes, procedures, and requirements of programs, initiatives, and concentrations i.e; Army Force Management, Capability Needs Analysis, Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC), and synchronizing modernization to include Unit Set Fielding, and Strategic Portfolio Analysis and Review (SPAR). 2. provide analysis and communication of modernization/equipping program information to senior leadership; 3. provide continual appraisal of the force modernization program to ensure objectives and goals are met; 4. identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies among different levels of the organization, and other modernization/equipping stakeholders.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
