About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply and Services Division, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Order clothing equipment for the Central Issue Facility. Ensure the status of requisitions on back-order meet mission requirements as indicated by the expected delivery date. Investigate discrepancies in shipments such as incorrect quantities, inferior quality, incomplete, damaged or erroneous materials. Determine cause of error and prepare adjustments to bring stock files into balance. Review supply and demand studies to determine and project inventory needs based on requirements knowledge of previous demand history, procurement lead time, and current stock levels.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a requirement to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds in the regular performance of duties. Heavier items are moved with material handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent to wear protective clothing.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
