Duties
You will serve within the Navy and Marine Corps Spectrum Office (NMCSO) for the procurement, assignment, and protection of radio frequency incidents to the satisfaction of telecommunications requirements.
You will conduct analysis/studies of radio frequency assignments with a view toward adjustment, sharing, or reassignment to ensure spectrum efficiency for authorized Navy use.
You will assist as directed in making decisions and revisions in negotiations concerning command policies and positions in order to reach the best solution for the command.
You will perform duties using required excellent writing capabilities, a well developed vocabulary, and the ability to prepare and analyze technical material on short notice for presentation in a logical, systematic, and positive manner.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience reviewing frequency assignment proposals for policy, regulations and procedures, and recommending corrective action.
Experience reviewing national laws, methods, policy, and procedures pertinent to the frequency assignment function.
Experience applying journeyman knowledge of electromagnetic communications, including radio systems and concepts (digital/voice/data) with emphasis in the areas of radio communications operational characteristics of radio transmitting and receiving equipment, radio wave propagation, potential for interference, antenna characteristics, and design features.
Experience performing required research, much of which is classified in nature requiring special precautions, individual judgment, and discretion in handling and dissemination needed to provide thoroughly documented and precise results.
