Duties

Serves as the Team Lead of the Agency Synchronization Operations Center (ASOC) Current Operations Branch, DLA Logistics Operation Directorate. Provides DLA leadership with analyses and actionable intelligence optimizing logistical support to the warfighter. Collects and evaluates exercise and/or contingency operations examples to use as a basis for improving and revising Agency doctrine, directions, instructions, or Support Plans. Responsible for the development of policies and procedures, and implementation plans for DLAs mobilization, emergency operations, sustainment assessment, and CCMDs operation support plans. Determines long-range resource requirements to ensure sustainment of contingency and wartime operations. Coordinates critical Requests for information with appropriate Primary Level Field Activities (PLFAs). Prepares and provides briefings on current logistics operational support to update senior leadership on efforts in support of warfighter needs and/or crisis. Articulates to the team work assignments, projects, and actionable problems to be solved. Monitors and trains personnel assigned to ensure personnel assigned are qualified to support mission.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Lead Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Determines long-range resource requirements to ensure sustainment of contingency and wartime operations. Experience in preparing and briefing at a professional level. Conducts analysis to determine the impact to the operations and policies on that support. Responsible for developing policies and procedures to support contingency and wartime operations. B. Education Substitution: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
