This position is in the Program Management Office (PMO) of the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) (N), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The purpose of this position is to serve as the BPA Sustainability Program Manager and to lead BPA in setting the overall direction in response to Sustainability and climate change mitigation legislation and policies.

As a Sustainability Program Specialist, you will:

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as: (1) Developing organizational direction (e.g. goals, strategies, policies, procedures, activities, analysis, etc.) in response to sustainability and climate change mitigation legislation and policies; (2) ensuring an organization meets established internal and external sustainability and climate resilience compliance requirements; (3) researching and studying sustainability and climate resiliency best practices to develop and implement process improvements and new technology.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
