This position is located within Workplace Services and Business Operations (NWP), Workplace Services (NW), Chief Administrative Office (N), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
The purpose of this position is to serve as the Facilities and Workplace Services Deputy and Operations and Planning Manager, responsible for developing, integrating, and monitoring all Workplace Services business and financial plans.
Duties
As a Operations and Planning Manager, you will:
Provide direction and leadership in the planning development and administration of programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the organization.
Manage special projects and analysis that potentially contribute to cost savings, product enhancement, or improved effectiveness and/or efficiency in Workplace Services.
Design and implement work management and measurement processes to evaluate business and organizational performance (e.g., balanced scorecard, targets, metrics, etc.) for the Workplace Services organization.
Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the work and providing similar oversight of contractors when appropriate.
Develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.
Ensure team-oriented, effective, harmonious, and productive formal and informal working relationships within the organization, between the organization and other organizations, and with those positions key to the effective accomplishment of BPA's business, marketing, and customer service objectives.
Create and maintain a cost-consciousness, market-driven, and results-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) developing, integrating, and monitoring business and financial plans to include delivery of programs such as life cycle facilities asset management, office space management, mail, print, parking, fitness centers, non-IT equipment programs, delivery and receiving, motor pool/fleet management and conference room scheduling; 2) collaborating with management on policy development and resource allocation; and 3) justifying, defending, and negotiating with stakeholders to obtain or commit resources, and explain or gain compliance with established policies, regulation, and contracts.
