You will serve as a Supervisory Security Specialist in the Provost Marshal's Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will assist in the planning, managing, directing, evaluating, and effective operations of police support services to include police records, administration, crime prevention, physical security, installation access control, and reporting/analysis. You will supervise the day-to-day work of military personnel, civilian police officers, and personnel and assign subordinates to shifts and areas of responsibility based on considerations of mission requirements and availability of resources. You will supervise crime analysis, obtains data for identifying enforcement problem areas, conduct detailed planning for approval of the PM/CP, and coordinates work force deployment to identified areas as required. Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in Law Enforcement administrative management by drafting policies and procedures to increase program effectiveness; 2) Overseeing Physical Security functions such as monitoring alarm systems, accessing control or issuing badges; and 3) Managing and advising security personnel, creating schedules, and ensuring adequate coverage to meet program objectives. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
