The Industrial Security Specialist serves as a senior policy analyst within the Policy Division of the Industrial Security Directorate of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and provides, DCSA senior leaders, staff with objectively based information for making decisions on industrial security policy matters in support of the National Industrial Security Program.
Duties
As a INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:
The incumbent serves in the Industrial Security Directorate within the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and serves as a senior policy analyst. The senior policy analyst engages internal and external stakeholders to provide industrial security policy management, interpretation, clarification, and guidance to Industrial Security field personnel, mission leads and staff, and senior agency leaders.

- Incumbent must successfully complete the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), the Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC), and the Security Oversight Certification (ISOC).
- Certifications must be completed within 24 months of assuming the position. Certification must be maintained in accordance with program rules.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Expert experience applying practical standards or reasonable risk management to determine which security policies and requirements should be revised to meet changing situations, needs, and environments; Expert experience developing and proposes new policies and processes as a result of studies performed; Performs a wide range of action officer duties to include preparing sensitive correspondence and responses to outside evaluations, narrative justifications, and undertaking high profile special projects; and has extensive knowledge of security policies, foreign affairs, constitutional provisions, laws, Executive Orders, regulations, and directives dealing with industrial security matters.

Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
