About the Position: This position is located in the IMCOM Directorate-Readiness at Fort Liberty, NC. It is involved in planning and implementing all phases of Emergency Services to include law enforcement, fire protection/prevention, antiterrorism, physical security, emergency management, and installation security.

Duties

Responsible for overall program development, planning, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement of Department of the Army’s Protection Programs in the IMCOM Directorate-Readiness (ID-R) area of responsibility. Develop programs, processes, and plans for Emergency Services operations, to include organizational structure, performance management, and business process improvement. Assist in managing all ID-R taskings, to include monitoring open taskings to ensure suspenses are met. Represent the ID-R in law enforcement, fire protection/prevention, antiterrorism, physical security, emergency management, and installation security operations. Supervise senior staff/action officers engaged in the full range of emergency services, and Army Protection program operations.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing programs and processes to manage emergency operations services relating to law enforcement, fire protection/prevention, antiterrorism, physical security, emergency management and installation security; coordinating appropriate actions with organizations/communities to ensure the effective and efficient management of emergency services; and initiating and directing surveys, inspections, and/or studies to analyze and improve crime and fire prevention programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsManaging Human ResourcesPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
