You will serve as a Temporary Services Specialist in the Repair Department (TRF-300) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will attend frequent project meetings to progress work and resolve problems. You will provide project technical direction to shop supervisors, contractors, and external organizations to start or stop work, determine job priorities and shift performance and settle trade interface/interference questions. You will advise higher-level management on TRIREFFAC's ability to perform the work, facilities required, manpower needs and availabilities, etc. You will establish and maintain a Temporary Service Identification Log for each vessel's availability. You will manage and direct efforts on review of work completion to ensure all jobs are completed prior to refit key events.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as IT Level II.
  • This position may require travel worldwide at which time additional medical screening may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing technical oversight on the placement, maintenance, and operation of nuclear and non-nuclear temporary services such as shore electrical power, fire-fighting equipment, and telephone services. Experience analyzing schedules and determining manpower, materials, and equipment required. Experience planning and scheduling work several months before work starts. Experience interpreting blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine the contractor's capability to perform the technical data package requirements. Experience assembling and evaluating data such as space and equipment requirements, inspection requirements, and work breakdown of operations. Education

Substitution of Education:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
