You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the BUSINESS MANAGEMENT DIVISION (183) of SUPSHIP GULF COAST.

Duties

You will serve as an analyst, advisor, and senior consultant for all aspects of the command's strategic planning functions. You will coordinate the planning, training, and implementation efforts for the command’s strategic business planning, as well as developing and maintaining the implementation plan. You will provide advice, assistance and training to Command teams responsible for drafting the command's business plan, including developing schedules and coordinating logistic requirements for planning sessions. You will develop and maintain performance measurements for the command’s business processes. You will track the effectiveness of implemented solutions by use of improvement plans, on-site visits, feedback questionnaires, interviews with appropriate personnel, and monitoring. You will develop, coordinate, administer, analyze, and maintain surveys required for the execution of customer, stakeholder, and employee satisfaction/feedback. You will develop methods for the measurement of organizational improvement and effectiveness based on broad, nonspecific guidelines provided from higher headquarters. You will provide assistance to supervisory and management personnel in the planning, organizing and implementation of a Continuous Process Improvement (self-assessment) program for SSGC. You will develop analysis reports and prepare appropriate analytical documents for review and presentation. You will prepare articles and other written materials to publicize SSGC activities and progress both internally and externally.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical and evaluative methods to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an organization's program operations.
