You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the RESOURCES AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT of SUPSHIP GULF COAST. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-2 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-5 through GS-11.

Duties

You will evaluate and interpret data obtained and provide recommendations to Supervisor of Shipbuilding for approval. You will coordinate purchases with vendors and work with contractors to ensure that purchased supplies arrive timely and meet the government's requirements. You will initiate meetings and interactions with customers to understand customer needs/expectations. You will contribute as a team member/leader by providing insight and recommending changes or solutions to problems. You will conduct management surveys and provide advisory services on issues relating to employee recognition. You will prepare and maintain required training records and reports. You will serve as the Awards Coordinator with the responsibility of managing all incentive awards.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-01 (GS-04) grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to: 1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2. Plan and organize work; and 3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education

Education may be used to substitute for three years of general experience at the NH-02 as follows:

a successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree;
-or-
a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
