You will serve as an Administrative Technical Specialist (Logistics Team Lead) in the Self Defense Test Ship Engineering & Logistics Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,323.)
Duties
You will serve as the principle logistic point of contact and provide total life cycle logistic program support for the Self Defense Test Ship Program.
You will serve as Logistics Team lead providing leadership, coordination, project planning and overall Integrated Logistics Support task management of all Self Defense Test Ship Logistic Element Manager efforts.
You will assist in overall Self Defense Test Ship supportability requirements.
You will act as Logistics Lead and will work directly with the Self Defense Test Ship Project Office to ensure life cycle logistics support is provided.
You will lead engineering, technical, and logistics personnel in developing and implementing programmatic requirements from acquisition through phase out.
You will develop, coordinate, and execute policies and procedures as the authoritative and expert logistics management representative.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to perform occasional sea duty.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, implementing, and managing programmatic requirements of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services to lead personnel for the modernization and installation of projects associated with ship combat systems.
