You will serve as a Transportation Assistant in the Personal Property Processing Office of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will responsible for managing all customer-facing storefront functions within the Department of Defense (DoD) Personal Property Program. You will answer customer inquiries, review order, documents and verify household, POV, mobile home shipment and storage entitlements. You will assist military and civilian personnel in the creation of permanent change of station household goods shipments, storage applications and move request. You will assist all authorized military and civilian employees with shipments and storage of personal property and privately owned vehicle, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-04 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying basic knowledge of traffic management and transportation policies and principles relating to the movement of household goods and personal property entitlements. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Review orders, documents and verify household, POV, mobile home shipment and storage entitlements in order to assist customers; 2) Assist military and civilian personnel in the creation of permanent change of station household goods shipments, storage applications and move requests; 3) Assist military and civilian employees with shipments and storage of personal property and privately owned vehicles, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations; 4) Utilize office automation software to perform functions such as word processing, faxing, scanning, copying and receipt of transmission of electronic mail.
