The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Training Program Manger over assigned Production support functions responsible for establishing training requirements and developing training programs in support of various occupations.
Duties
1. Plans, organizes and manages 402 AMXG Training Program and assists with the Production Acceptance Certification (PAC) Program, special Skills Qualification (SSQ) Program, Network Automated Training Certification Tracking System, and Education/Training Management System (ETMS).
2. Provides program policy guidance and regulatory interpretation to various levels of assigned division management.
3. Applies principles of Instructional System Design (ISD) during development and review of contract provider training
course materials course materials developed for classroom instruction.
4. Reviews and validates formal and informal classroom instructions on a variety of technical and non-technical subjects related to Aircraft maintenance and Depot Repair including line replaceable units (LRLs), shop replaceable units (SRUs) repair, corrosion control, personnel safety, and regulatory standards and policies.
5. Periodically confers with managers and supervisors to determine new requirements for the assigned support division.
6. Prepares and present briefing to management on existing and proposed training programs.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

Specialized Experience (for positions above GS-5): Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
Supervising or administering a training program.
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
For Community College of the Air Force GS-1712 positions only: Section 9315 of 10 USC directs the commander of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to comply with standards established by the Secretary of Education to confer associate degrees upon enlisted members who have completed the requirements for the prescribed programs of study. To comply with this directive, all faculty members of the Community College of the Air Force must meet minimum educational requirements as prescribed by the accrediting body Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC), i.e. all teachers must hold at least an associate's degree in order for the school to meet accreditation criteria.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of experience include:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
Supervising or administering a training program.
Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

OR
EDUCATION: Completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. NOTE: You must submit copies of your official transcripts.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Combination of specialized experience and education as described above. Therefore, I have a combination of experience and education. NOTE: You must submit a copy of official college transcripts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

order to develop training course, obtain training resources, and assess overall effectiveness in order to meet
identified training requirements.
2. Knowledge of and skilled in the use of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic
usages to effectively accomplish assigned functions.
3. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements as outlined in applicable standards, regulations,
and/or technical orders.
4. Knowledge of the installation/command mission and organization.
5. Ability to analyze, plans, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within
available resource.
6. Ability to analyze, interprets, and applies rules, regulations, and procedures in a variety of situations.
7. Ability to plan and organize work and coordinate with other disciplines.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to maintain a positive working relationship with
management, classroom participants, and peers.
9. Ability to remain in a standing position for extended period of time when instructing classes.

travel by regularly scheduled military or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
