About the Position: Serve as Information Management Officer (IMO) for the IMCOM Directorate Sustainment Director and staff. Identifies information technology (IT) requirements for the Directorate. The IMO is responsible for coordinating Command, Control, Communications, and Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) requirements with the supporting Network Enterprise Center .(NEC).
Duties
Serve as an Information Management Officer for the IMCOM Directorate Sustainment identifying technology (IT) requirements for the Directorate.
Manage the organization’s Information Management (IM)/IT processes and resources that enable the organization’s business and mission processes.
Coordinate the delivery, deployment, maintenance, and growth capacity of IT assets for identified requirements and supported activities within the Directorate.
Manage the organization’s Information Assurance Program / Risk Management Framework as it relates to system accreditations.
Requirements
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- May be required to travel up to 25% of the time for this position.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain Information Assurance Certificates for elevated privilege access.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1)Managing program areas to include communications, automation, information technology planning and information assurance; 2) Ensuring the integration of information technology (IT) programs and/or services; AND 3) Managing an organization's IT hardware and/or information management (IM) platforms, to include web services databases and knowledge management.
My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Technical Competence- Manages all aspects of software development lifecycle, including design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security. Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations on projects. Must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast-paced environment
(2) Software Development - Develop and sustain applications utilizing secured coding methods. Knowledge of programming languages such as ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C## (i.e., WebForm, MVC, Razor Pages, etc.). Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
(3) Problem Solving - Identifies and analyzes problems; uses sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; finds alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgements.
(4) Requirements Analysis - Conduct requirements gathering and collaborate with Customer to determine application specifications. Perform needs analysis to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions and/or technologies to meet user needs. Collaborates and works in both internal and external teams effectively or works in flexible/agile/high tempo environments.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
