You will serve as a FUNCTIONAL PLANS & POLICY PROGRAM MANAGER in the HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide advice and administration support to Division Personnel and Liaison Officers (LNOs)/Planners.
You will provide opportunities and tools for employees to succeed.
You will assess the effectiveness of programs; and to adjust programs and priorities accordingly.
You will manage functional plans and programs for Countering Weapons of Mass Destructions, Counter Terrorism, Homeland Defense, Defense Support of Civil Authorities, Pandemics and Infectious Diseases, and Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Response.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating strategy, policy development, planning and operational execution with Staff, Joint Staff, Services, other Combatant and Unified Commands, U.S. Government Interagency, and regional Allies and Partners; 2) Developing plans and programs; to assess the effectiveness of programs; and to adjust programs and priorities accordingly; 3) Participating in theater and national standing working groups, conferences, and unilateral, bilateral, and multinational forums, as needed; 4) Leading, managing, conducting expert analysis, and performing original plans and policy work at the national, strategic, and operational levels that apply to Counter Terrorism, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, Chemical/Biological/Radiological/Nuclear Policy, Homeland Defense, Defense Support to Civil Authority, Pandemics and Infectious Disease, and Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Response; 5) Directing, motivating, coordinating and integrating the work of others.
