As a Management and Program Analyst at the GS-0343-12, you will be part of Retirement Services Group, Office of Personnel Management. The incumbent will serve as a Management and Program Analyst in Retirement Services (RS). The employee carries out varied analytical, evaluative, and project-type assignments in the area of Federal employee retirement benefits.
Duties
Conducting complex analysis, evaluations or investigations in support organizational programs, systems and processes.
Collaborating with management level, internal and external customers to analyze and resolves problems.
Preparing reports in written and graphic form, to communicate appropriate performance information to program and senior level management.
Implementing information systems using technology such as database management decision support.
Preparing instructional and informational material for distribution to insurance carriers.
Qualifications
For the GS 12: You must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service that includes 3 of the 4 following statements:
1) conducting and/or leading comprehensive studies (gathering/analyzing and evaluating data) in the areas of policy development for retirement/insurance systems or employee benefit programs;
2) using analytical methods to measure, track and implement operational metrics;
3) analyzing, preparing, and presenting written and graphic reports; and
4) use of database systems managing and and analyzing qualitive and quantitative data.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS12 level.
