You will serve as a HR ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the Navy Recruiting Command of NVRECRUITNGCMD.
Duties
You will compose draft correspondence for management to review and sign.
You will use a database (e.g., Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System [DEERS]) to determine if an applicant meets requirement for enrollment.
You will give advice, counsel, or instruction to supervisors and employees on technical and administrative matters to complete work and support operations.
You will maintain documents (e.g., publications, directives, recurring reports, tickler files, correspondence, filing systems) related to human resources functions.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying personnel policies, procedures, rules and regulations to maintain personnel records; 2) Identifying and analyzing personnel information to identify problems and make/suggest corrective actions; and 3) Effectively using automated personnel software to input and extract information (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, and database applications).
