This position is located at Departmental Offices,DO - Recover Prog/ Small Business,Transprt, Legacy. As a/an Compliance Analyst, you will ensure that recipients comply with their funding requirements and proactively assist recipients come into compliance to facilitate the success of the purpose of the award.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Provide compliance monitoring, asset management, audit and risk management, post-assistance reporting, and internal controls related to financial assistance provided by the Treasury. Monitor compliance of grant, loan and note agreements between the Treasury and funding recipients of assistance programs. Review, analyze, and monitor recipient activity to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations and operating policies and procedures by developing expertise in compliance systems and testing.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Experience monitoring the compliance of or auditing awardees of federal grants or assistance; AND Experience drafting internal procedures for compliance or auditing activities; AND Experience coordinating the development and implementation of information systems to manipulate program data and improve workflow. Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following: Experience monitoring the compliance of or auditing awardees of federal grants or assistance; AND Experience assisting in drafting internal procedures for compliance or auditing activities; AND Experience utilizing information systems to manipulate program data and improve workflow. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
