You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the SURVEILLANCE RADAR DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS AND LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will serve as Team Leader for the AN/SPQ-9B radar system for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, Surveillance Radar Division.
You will analyze, investigate, and recommend technical solutions to critical design problems that will have significant impact on the success of the Navy's Horizon Surveillance Radar.
You will interpret Technical and Performance Specifications to perform radar system technical assistance.
You will advise sponsors, Command/Department/Division Management, and Customer Advocates on Courses of Actions in regard to financial planning and strategic business objectives potential resource issues.
You will prepare formal reports, studies, and documents and present thoughts, plans, and results in a clear and concise manner.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing engineering designs to identify and resolve technical issues impacting the development, maintenance, and operation of radar systems.
