You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Joint Explosive Ordnance Disposal (JEOD) team, Expeditionary Missions Program Office PMS 408 of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.

Duties

You will serve as project manager within Modernization Portfolio to lead development and implementation of acquisition strategies to develop, produce, field, and sustain various tools, technologies, and capabilities employed by the Joint EOD force. You will execute program plans to achieve milestones and requirements for full scope of activities associated with JEOD acquisition programs, e.g., coordination of safety, test and evaluation, information assurance, logistics, contracts. You will develop and provide long range strategies to successfully manage cost, schedule and performance of JEOD programs while leading a diverse team in the Joint environment. You will help inform and develop requirements in support of the resource sponsor and Joint EOD force and will be responsible for providing the data, methodology, and analysis that demonstrates how programs are meeting Joint EOD requirements. You will be responsible for developing and presenting briefs, studies, white papers, and other products to the PMS 408 Program Manager, PEO leadership or JEOD Flag/SES level leadership. You will establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan, resource, and execute programs alongside industry, academia, service providers as well as the science and technology community.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR NH-03 (GS-12-13 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience analyzing acquisition programs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative or technical programs to identify issues and recommend process improvements.
