About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Commons on Nellis AFB, NV. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. This position requires to be able to move, handle, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Duties

Assist in the daily planning, development, and administering of programs to enhance personal and professional development, performing arts, leisure and recreation, family and life skills and Community Support Flight special events. Assists in program operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Assists in maintaining facility to meet operational standards. Assists with recurring and non-recurring activities, programs, special and joint community undertakings to make maximum use of facilities, service and other resources. Under direction of Community Center Manager, assists with the development and implementation of program plans. Collects fees and protects funds. Responsible for direct contact with internal and external customers. Arranges for supplies and services needed to accomplish scheduled activities. Provides support for base theater operations to include assisting with reservations, movie showings and private functions. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Collects payment and protects funds. Responsible for direct contact with internal and external customers. Assists in opening and closing the Gun Range when scheduled events occur. Responsible for hooking up gaming system trailer hitch to truck. Ability to drive truck and trailer to designated events and parties, and set up and run gaming system. Reports facility repairs and maintenance requirements according to procedures. Assists in maintaining facility to meet operational standards. Assists with recurring and non-recurring activities, programs, special and joint community undertakings to make maximum use of facilities, service, and other resources. Under direction of Community Center Manager, assists with the development and implementation of program plans. Collects payments and protects funds. Responsible for direct contact with internal and external customers. Arranges for supplies and services needed to accomplish scheduled activities. Requirements

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid state drivers license.
  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position has physical requirements which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash, basic knowledge of computers and Point of Sales/cash registers. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities is required. Must possess superb customer service skill in dealing with the public and the ability to exercise tact and professionalism. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Calendar and Maps is highly desirable.

Education
